Campground Information:

The reservoir was created for irrigation with the dam on the North end. It's close location to Calgary makes it a favorite for boaters.

Directions:
Lake McGregor Campground is located 80km Southeast of Calgary on the East shore of Lake McGregor reservoir. 20km N of Vulcan on Hwy 23: 25km E on SH 542

There are 100 campsites with picnic tables and fire pits located in a nice grassy area lined with bushes that create a wind break. There is also a manual water pump, dry toilets, refuse containers, community kitchen, playground and boat launch. Lake McGregor is excellent for boating, water skiing and swimming.
